Membership strengthens the community voice protecting Chebacco Lake and helps fund the science, education, stewardship, and advocacy the lake depends on.
Membership matters
CLWA appreciates every member’s support and allows each person or household to choose the annual contribution amount that works for them. Membership is equal at every level. Your selected amount simply determines how much financial support you provide toward protecting and improving Chebacco Lake and its watershed.

Why join?
Membership supports water sampling, environmental observations, lake health tracking, and education about harmful algae and cyanobacteria.
Support efforts to understand and address phosphorus, stormwater runoff, septic impacts, shoreline practices, and other sources of nutrient loading.
A healthy lake supports swimming, fishing, paddling, boating, wildlife observation, neighborhood quality, and long-term property values.
Help residents learn how shoreline buffers, runoff control, septic maintenance, and landscaping choices can protect water quality.
Membership strengthens CLWA’s ability to advocate for science-based, coordinated, long-term protection across the entire watershed.
A community-supported association
Chebacco Lake faces ongoing challenges that require consistent attention rather than one-time action. Water quality, invasive species, nutrient pollution, stormwater runoff, shoreline development, education, and municipal coordination all require sustained work.
Annual memberships provide dependable operating support for communications, outreach, monitoring, research, community events, advocacy, and long-term planning.
Membership also gives CLWA a stronger community voice. A broad and active membership demonstrates that residents, visitors, lake users, and watershed supporters care about the future of Chebacco Lake.
“Your membership is equal to all others regardless of the selected fee.”
